The Planning Committee
THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE IT HAPPEN
The Dance Marathon Committee works year-round to plan our annual event. DM is a great opportunity to work actively with a group of peers, in an area of your interest, and all for a great cause!
The Dance Marathon Committee is composed of seven divisions:
Activities & Entertainment: Organize the event's entertainment for the night, including live music, student group performances and variety acts as well as plan the night's fun-filled and theme-oriented games, contests and attractions.
Catering: Communicate with local vendors to provide free food and beverages throughout the event; ensure that participants are replenished throughout the evening
Communications**: Maintains a constant flow of communication between all of the divisions and organizes team and dancer communication
Corporate Sponsorship and Prizes: Works with corporate and local businesses and other financial resources to help fund Dance Marathon and obtain product donations for the event.
Decorations: Use your artistic vision to transform Pauley Ballroom with lighting, props and more
Outreach: Works to educate the campus about the cause Dance Marathon supports and designs and implements advertising and fundraising campaigns
Special Events: Innovates and coordinates the events leading up to Dance Marathon and collaborates with other organizations; Organizes social activities for the DM planning committee
