WHEREAS, The California Golden Bears football team is 5-2;
WHEREAS, The Bears are a source of pride for Cal Students;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the ASUC congratulate the California Golden Bears on their success so far this season; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the ASUC Senate encourages Cal students to support Cal Football; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the ASUC declare Friday, November 9, 2007, “Cal Football Day”; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That students are encouraged to wear Cal clothing on Cal Football Day; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That programming for Cal Football Day shall be organized by the ASUC President in conjunction with the Rally Committee;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the ASUC Senate meeting on November 7, 2007, will commence with a performance of “Fight for California”;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the ASUC shout “GO BEARS!”
