About the ASUC Student Organizations

ASUC Student Organizations are extremely popular on campus, and provide a "home" to students where they can get together with other students who have the same interests.

There are Student Initiated Service Groups, like the Black Students In Health Association and Community Legal Outreach, which go out into the comunity and give Cal students the opportunity to work in public schools, community organizations, clinics, hospitals and shelters. Their main purpose is to provide humanitarian, medical, legal, financial, or moral support/assistance for the on and off-campus community.

All of these groups struggle to exist with limited funding. There are more than 400 student groups assisted by the ASUC Auxiliary that provide a wonderful outlet for students and offer a welcoming place and space to students on our large and diverse campus.
