The Bear's Lair

The Bear’s Lair boasts a choice of dynamic, ethnically diverse eateries that present an array of cuisines at student-friendly prices. Come and experience the eating adventure in the Bear’s Lair Food Court, located on the bottom level of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Student Union. The entrances are in Lower Sproul Plaza.

The main inside seating area provides Internet access as well as a comfortable place to study or meet friends. The Bear’s Lair also offers two large patio areas for outdoor seating to enjoy Berkeley’s great outdoors.

The Bear's Lair Brewpub

The Bear’s Lair Brewpub reopened its doors to the general public on September 1, 2001 with a new look, a new menu, and over 20 different beers on tap. Operated by the same people that brought you Jupiter and Triple Rock Brewery, the Bear’s Lair offers fabulous pizza, huge oven-baked sandwiches, big-bowl salads, and a variety of tasty appetizers. The Coffee Spot

If you crave caffeine to start your day, need a sugar boost to make it through the afternoon blues, or want to mellow out when struggling with a tough term paper, look no further than the Coffee Spot to meet your needs. Offering a variety of specialty teas and exotic coffees from around the world as well as a dynamic selection of fresh baked pastries, sandwiches, and salad, the Coffee Spot is perfect morning, noon, or night.
HOURS: Monday - Friday: 6 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
