About the Elections Council

The Elections Council is a not a branch of the government but serves the critical function of organizing and executive ASUC Elections each year. The Elections Council is the official administrative body of the ASUC that is charged with organizing the ASUC Elections. It controls of all ASUC Elections and related activities rests with the Council, whose authority is limited in scope to those duties stated in the ASUC Constitution and the Elections By-Laws. They are a completely neutral body, and no member of the Elections Council is allowed to support or oppose any candidate, party, or proposition in an election while serving on the Council.
