Personal Bio

Hello, Cal Bears! It is quite the privilege to be serving as your Academic Affairs Vice President during the 2011–2012 school year. This year we are facing major threats to public education as we know it, and now more than ever your engagement in our fight to preserve both the quality of our school and public education at large is paramount. I am both intimated and excited to be tackling this issues head on with all of you. To share a little bit about myself, I am a first-generation college student, second-generation Korean American and third year Cal Bear studying Ethnic Studies and Political Science. Along with serving as AAVP, I am the External Vice President of the Korean American Student Association, chairwoman of the East Asian Union and sister of Alpha Phi. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, taking photos of every event I attend, trying new restaurants, browsing around art museums, meeting new people and road trips with friends!

My campaign goals addressed the following issues:
1) Increased transparency of Operational Excellence through student-led teach-in
2) Increased study spaces
3) Increased advising through graduate mentorship of undergraduates.
