The ASUC sponsors Global Outreach Week to showcase UC Berkeley's dedication to public service
The ASUC-sponsored Global Outreach Week will take place between Monday, April 11 and Saturday, April 17.
This week marks the launch of the ASUC's annual Global Outreach Week, a weeklong series of events designed to showcase UC Berkeley's unparalleled dedication to global service and provide students with resources and information on how to get involved.
Events include:
1. Nets for Nets Basketball Tournament | 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on April 11

2. Eco Styles | 6 p.m. on April 12 in the Pauley Ballroom on

3. Global Technology and Poverty Symposium | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 14 on Lower Sproul
Learn about the revolutionary innovations helping the world's poorest.
4. What is Cal's Role in the Global Community? | April 15 in the Senate Chambers
Berkeley Professors discuss the exciting ways in which the university interacts globally. After the panel, visit the Global Club Fair of student groups with an international message.
5. Screen on the Green: Hotel Rwanda | 6 p.m. on April 16
Learn more about the Rwandan genocide by listening to guest speaker and survivor Clementine Igilibambe. Afterwards, Hotel Rwanda will be screened.
